Description
A very attractive Georgian period pendant with hugely vibrant pink pastes-6 large pastes and 18 smaller pastes, making it seem saturated in pink. There are filigree silver wire scrolls, arranged by hand, forming the structure of the pendant-so it seems like such a light and ethereal design.
I love the scalloped settings for the stones, something you see a lot in Georgian pieces. I also love the hand-crafted nature of the work-making it beautifully organic rather than absolutely symmetrical. The pendant is in good condition, with just light wear to the pastes in keeping with her age. The only thing to mention is that it looks like the large paste on the very left may have been reinserted back into her setting at some point, as the scalloped edge does not seem quite as fluted as the others. It does look like the original paste so that is great news.
The pendant measures approx 6.1cm in height, including the stocky bale. It would accommodate a fine chain only so if you wished to wear a chunky chain-you may wish to ask your jeweller to replace the current bale with a larger one. The listing is for the pendant only.
I will send in a new gift box by complimentary tracked and signed post. Thank you.
