Description
A wonderful 9ct gold pendant, very much of the Art Nouveau era c1905. It touches upon the Jugendstil design of the period too. It has a framework formed with sinuous, stylised lines and a lovely pale blue to pink opal sitting at its heart. Below the main pendant a small baroque pearl is suspended.
It is a lovely design statement and pleasingly, is fully marked 9ct on the reverse. The bale is large and would accommodate a variety of sizes of chains. I will include this stamped 9ct gold chain (of the same era), which has its original barrel clasp fastener. It is stamped “9C” on a tiny plaque on the chain. If you prefer the pendant alone-please ask, as I can arrange the sale separately.
