Description
A beautiful Belle Epoque pendant from the c1910 era, which carries a maker’s mark (unknown to me) and hand etched numbers and letters by the jeweller to the verso. Clearly of lovely quality-this is an excellent example of a Belle Epoque pendant in silver.
The pendant is well-articulated, being in three sections. I adore the design, which sees scrolling leaf work flowing upwards from the bottom of the pendant t the flowers at the top of the design, with cut-out work so it seems even more ethereal and delicate. It is a particularly well-constructed piece.
A lively and sparkly pear-shaped paste has been suspended at the base of the main section and it adds such a lovely light touch. The integral bale is studded with pastes and has a curl of a leaf to it too. All very lovely and in such pleasing condition. My best bet is that this is a French piece. The pendant measures approx 5.2cm in height and is ready for you to pop onto one of your own silver chains.
I will send by complimentary tracked and signed post in a new gift box as the box in the images is for display only. Thank you.
