A lovely Edwardian era antique moonstone riviere necklace, in which every stone is different to the last and each, of course, having been set in its own individual spectacle setting. This allows the light to really play with the stones. It is a generous length at 23 inches (58cm) and has 45 moonstones all present and correct. A number of these stones do flash blue hues, all depending on the type and angle of the light.

A lovely length -so a very useful staple for your wardrobe. I love the varied forms of these beautiful Edwardian moonstones-and yet, care has been taken to nestle each into its own hand-constructed setting. It could be easy to overlook the number of hours that have gone into its construction.

Graduated, so that the largest of the stones appear at the front centre, with the moonstones becoming smaller as you reach the clasp. The largest moonstone measures approx 12mm x 9mm. All in lovely condition, with one or two natural inclusions in one or two stones. No chips or cracks. The silver work is fine too. There has been a catch replacement to this contemporary sturdy lobster catch, which means it feels very secure as you wear it. Many of the bolt ring catches I have come across, of a good age, on these necklaces, seem to lose the strength in their bolt, so perhaps it is a good thing it has had a more updated catch. Ready to wear and each stone as you touch it seems to feel like silk, so the overall effect is rather special when you actually wear it.

I shall send by complimentary Tracked and signed post in new gift box as the boxes in the images are for display only. Thank you.
