Description
A wonderful, balanced piece of design, crafted c1900 and of German origin. This hand-crafted Jugendstil necklace is so pretty, without being heavy and clumpy. A more diminutive design that packs a might design punch. Lovely to see a foiled peacock eye glass panel in the centre, which has electric green and a darker blue within it. The simple split leaves are so beautiful and so effective in nestling the central cabochon.
A tiny faux pearl drop is suspended below the central panel, to complete the balance of this piece. I love the double chains leading to a small spacer in the chain above the pendant. The chains all look original, although there has been a clasp replacement at some point in her life.
In excellent condition and fully marked with the “800” silver mark of the era. The pendant measures approx 3.3cm in height and the wearable length of the chain is approx 46cm (18 inches)
I will package carefully and post with Special Delivery or else International Tracked and Signed. The box in the images is not included but I will package in a new gift box. Thank you!
