Description

This fabulous, hand crafted Artificers’ Guild brooch packs a mighty design punch. With its striking use of green and orange agates punctuating the silver detailing, it is both eye catching and dynamic. Hats off Mr Spencer for this one!

So many typical A&C details; hammered silver, twisted rope work edging, the use of small silver balls- here representing grapes and the quality finish you would expect from a superior Artificers’ Guild piece of that era.

An element of symmetry exists in this attractive design. However, if you consider even one element, such as the placing of the tiny silver balls in each “bunch of grapes”, you will see how different each is to each other. Hand crafted and painstaking work for the most talented of craftspeople.

This is in all original condition – pristine, with some patina as you can see, which merely serves to emphasise the gorgeous planished silver structure. It measures approx 3.9cm in diameter and the dome height is approx 1cm. No markings as you would expect but clearly Artificers’ Guild. A beauty!
