Description

What a lovely Edwardian necklace with such fabulously fiery opals. Difficult to find and such sumptuous blue and green flashes. It has been tested as 14ct rose gold with the replacement catch (antique too) being stamped as 9CT. Edwardian jewellery was light, opulent and classic in design. Each of these vibrant opal beads has been individually set with gold into the chain at intervals; hence, we call it a station necklace. The matching of the warmth of the rose gold and the vibrancy of the opals is excellent.

Every opal used here has vibrant, fiery flashes and I am hoping you can see that in the images here and on the video, but please remember it is notoriously difficult to capture the true colours of opals in photos and videos. Predominantly vivid blues and greens with some flashes of red and orange.. Every stone carefully selected so that the overall theme is sublime. The opals are approx 5mm in diameter and there are 10 of them in total.

This design is timeless and the quality of this piece is wonderful. The length is so useful and it would work beautifully, as understated elegance for day or night time wear. The chain measures approx 47cm (18.5 inches).

In excellent, well-cared for condition. Hard to believe she is over 110 years old! A gorgeous thing.

I will send in a new gift box and send by Special Delivery within the UK or else by express courier internationally. Boxes in the images are not included and are used for display only. Thank you.
