How lovely to find such a large and elegant moonstone pendant from the Edwardian era, also crafted in gold. I love this long, sleek pendant as it does have an unusually large moonstone and there are some interesting lines included in the stone. Created in the c1910 era.
The pale gold frame looks softer with the moonstone than silver undoubtedly would, so I understand completely why this combination was used. It is a pleasing form and also a pleasing stone. The large white moonstone cabochon feels so beautifully tactile, with its high rounded form. You can’t help but to run your fingers over it. The pendant comes with a smallish bale so you would need to use a fine gold chain with this pendant, or else put in a larger bale, which is easily done.
It measures approx 4.5cm in height. Unmarked but tested as 9ct gold.
I shall send by Tracked and signed post in a new gift box, as the boxes in the images are for display only. Thank you.
