Description

A particularly wonderful Arts and Crafts piece, solidly attributed to Dorrie Nossiter, England, c1930. I adore this design and the colour selections is a large part of that- citrines and yellow topaz with their high vibrational yellow hues, spessartite garnets in their vibrant orange tones, along with pale green peridots. A palette of uplifting gem stones in a very attractive drop pendant design.

At the top of the pendant we have a square step-cut citrine, so evocative of the late 1920s to early 30s era. Set between that and the main pendant is a most interesting honey citrine bead with a lot of interesting detail within. These first two parts hint at the colours in the main pendant section. Firstly, the large faceted lemon citrine is such a lovely example. It is a squat and thick gem, unlike the thinner slices you find on some other examples. It is a super sparkly stone due to the superbly-cut facets.

Dorrie has worked her amazing charm in glorious style on this impressive citrine, with the caps on both sides; a variety of faceted gem stones in their hand-crafted silver bezel settings. Spirals and balls detailing in gold completes the decoration on the front of the cap. The spessartite garnets are the most eye-popping orange and the yellow topaz is such a rare addition. (There is a tiny one in the verso decoration too). Flip her over and you will see a different, smaller design with gems and gold work to the verso.

The pendant measures approx 7cm in height from the top of the step-cut citrine to the bottom of the large citrine stone.  The length of the chain is approx 44cm (17.25 inches). In such pleasing condition and ready to enjoy. I shall send in a necklace presentation box and send by complimentary post, Special Delivery within the UK and by Express courier internationally. Boxes in the images are not included, thank you.
