A wonderfully heavy and substantial piece in a MODERNISM design, surely designed in a jeweller’s studio. It has full UK hallmarks (Birmingham) stamped on one of the halves (verso) and on the other “STERLING” and the “925” mark. This is a statement piece, which is both striking and eye catching when worn.
The green “stones” are, I believe, art glass cabochons in the malachite colours and design. Beautiful! The contrast between the silver and the colour green is an eternal favourite of mine.
I adore this design, which sits so well at the base of your neck and looks so pleasing and flattering. Even more delightful as it is hinged so instead of manoeuvering it on your neck awkwardly-this beauty just opens and pops on so smoothly. A joy!!
A mighty 130g in weight, hard to believe there is so much silver in this piece. Some light marks from previous life but nothing major-all as you would hope to expect. It offers a wonderful piece to add to your collection, which can be worn with a variety of outfits. As it is hinged, it is a flexible piece suiting many sizes of neck.
I shall send in a box for safe passage, by tracked delivery. Please note I am not sending to Germany at the moment.
