Description

A delightful pair of hand crafted Arts and Crafts c1900 spoons with lovely enamel roundels in their decoration. It seems more and more unusual to find a matching pair still together so I was ever so happy to see this pair. I am estimating their creation at c1900-1910 ish as they are so very reflective of the Arts and Crafts designs of that era.

The rather pointed bowls have been planished (hammered by hand). If you flip them over you see that lovely long pointed stem, so sleek. Each of the spoons has a slightly different decoration at the top. The small enamel roundels are so vibrant and I assume, therefore, they are foiled enamels. One is a salmon orange in colour and the other is a vivid cobalt. The two colours complement each other beautifully.

The blue enamel spoon measures approx 10.6cm and the orange enamel spoon is approx 10.3cm in length. No hallmarks, which is quite typical for hand-crafted piece in that era. They make a lovely little arrangement-such attractive things and they would love to come and join your collection πŸ™‚

I will send by complimentary tracked and signed post in a box to protect them. Thank you.
