This is absolutely one of the most delightful, quality Art Nouveau necklaces of its type that I have come across. Having the distinctive heart and twisted Celtic design Art Nouveau features, this c1900 pendant necklace is in superb condition. It has been lovingly hand-crafted, carries the early English “9CT” stamp to the verso and also has a series of numbers etched by the jeweller’s hand most likely.
This is a wonderfully evocative design, executed so beautifully and with that large creamy white mother-of-pearl cab to the centre, to offset the warm richness of the mellow gold colour. An outstanding piece too as it combines the Art Nouveau with the idea of a lavalier pendant, having two caged in gold baroque pearls, suspended on differing lengths of gold chain. You really don’t see such a combination very often so I am sure she will be snapped up.
The photos do not do her justice as this wonderful necklace looks and feels top drawer in quality. The pendant section measures approx 5.6cm in height and the chain measures approx 41cm (16 inches) which puts the pendant at an attractive position under your throat. It would look perfect with formal wear and equally as spectacular with a V-neck T-shirt. Just a beautiful thing.
I will send in a new gift box by Special Delivery within the UK or else by courier internationally. Boxes in the images are for display only-thank you.
