What a magnificent thing! It exudes joy, bounces light everywhere and has the most sublime mix of stones from red to orange to yellow. It was designed and crafted by Dorrie Nossiter in the c1930 era of English Arts and Crafts. This is such a stunning example of her work, with those incredible stones and the typical Dorrie gold balls interspersing the stones. A piece of art for you to wear!

The pale yellow citrines have been cut to perfection, to throw the shimmers and sparkles around as mush as possible. The four petalled-shaped faceted fire opals have been placed to further the illusion of a flower / star-the orange is vivid and, they too, sparkle magnificently because of the faceted edges. The oval stones set in between each fire opal are faceted garnets with their rich red hue. Towards the perimeter we have small cabochon cut red spinels. Honestly, it is  treasure of a design.

I love that dress clips are back in fashion but you could also use it with a chain as a pendant, which is not always easy to do, for example, with a brooch. If you have ever yearned to own a delicious piece of Dorrie Nossiter jewellery, then the colours on this fabulous thing must surely tempt you further. In excellent condition, clearly having been well cared-for over the years. Even the clip is strong.

It is such a superb design which resonates with us as much today as it did 100 years ago. A joyful thing! It measures approx 4.6cm by 4.6cm. In super order, both stones and silver work.

The box in the images is for display only but I will send it in a new box, to protect her during transit. Complimentary international courier or else special delivery within the UK is provided. Thank you.
