A beautiful design, which exudes romance, from the Victorian era. A fabulous stamped 15ct yellow gold brooch with a pendant bale, so you get to use it either as either. The detailing is divine, with tiny natural seed pearls tracing the outline of this statement heart shape. Three faceted amethysts represent the flower heads in the centre of the heart, each with a pair of leaves studded with seed pearls.
A larger faceted amethyst is suspended below the heart, catching the light as easily as the others so that you get that sense of movement when you wear this beautiful piece.
It is a larger design than some others of this era and measures approx 4cm wide (including pin) by approx 3cm in height, including the bale. Stamped “15CT” on the verso of the heart frame-she is in very pleasing condition. Original pin and C clasp. The only tiny thing to mention is that the central amethyst of the three seems slightly pushed in at the top but it is secure and all stones are in excellent order. I am including this rather beautiful fine 9ct gold chain with the pendant so that it can be worn straight away. I love the delicate links on it. It measures approx 50cm in length (19.75 inches).
