A lovely example of a vintage solid silver mariner link necklace – often referred to as “Gucci” links. This is a solid example of the links, rather than the puffy versions which were hollow. This also carries the full silversmith’s mark and the city mark of Arezzo in Italy. Fabulous to have a genuine Italian example instead of the many replicas.
A vintage piece, in excellent order. I love those oval links with the two punctured holes, often called a mariner link. The necklace feels heavy in your hand and is o course, beautifully made. It measures approx 44.5cm in length, which is approx 17.5 inches. It has such a striking design that it can be worn alone or stacked with other chains.
I have given it a light polish but you may prefer to polish further, to your own taste. I will post by International Tracked and Signed or else Special Delivery within the UK. Box in images is for display only but I will send to you in a new gift box.
